About the Role

The director will oversee the development of plans, studies, permits, designs, specifications, schedules, and work breakdown structures, while partnering with project controls to manage financial and schedule health. They will cultivate client, regulator, and stakeholder relationships, champion risk mitigation, and expand GHD’s digital infrastructure market across the Americas. • Negotiate and manage project resource budgets, forecasting and reporting variances. • Clarify team roles and ensure compliance with program and portfolio governance. • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and develop recovery plans. • Lead governance and delivery of a program or group of significant projects. • Direct large project teams, define vision, allocate resources, and mentor staff. • Serve as subject‑matter expert and maintain professional accreditations. • Develop and track business benefit realization plans. • Analyze business needs and recommend solutions at the unit level. • Lead scope definition, stakeholder consultation, and deliverable negotiation. • Implement stakeholder engagement strategies to foster collaboration. • Communicate strategic actions, motivate teams, and align with organizational vision. • Oversee assurance reviews and address findings to ensure project success.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Water Resources, at least 15 years of experience in major infrastructure and government policy projects, and a track record of international offshore delivery. Experience preparing permitting documentation such as Environmental Impact Assessments and related studies is required. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Water Resources. • Minimum 15 years experience delivering major infrastructure and government policy projects. • Proven international offshore project delivery (design‑build, progressive design‑build). • Experience preparing permitting deliverables such as Environmental Impact Assessments and reports.

Benefits

GHD offers a salary range of $159,000‑$265,000, 401(k) eligibility after three months, 16+ days of PTO, holiday pay, and a wellness reimbursement program up to $250 annually.
