About the Role
The role involves communicating with Waste Management drivers to assist with problem resolution for residential, commercial, and roll‑off lines of business. You will handle incoming service orders, direct drivers, and use WM’s proprietary software to manage same‑day ticket routing and prepare next‑day routes, with potential overtime, Saturday hours, and up to 15% travel for face‑to‑face site work. Key duties include dispatching drivers based on customer needs, driver locations, and load information; optimizing routes with sites and the service department; determining daily staffing levels; assigning routes and service tickets for the current and next day; handling incoming calls and emails for pick‑up or delivery requests; communicating with customers while drivers are on site to resolve issues; troubleshooting delivery problems before they affect service; and ensuring same‑day service for missed pick‑ups by tracking driver movement. • Dispatch drivers to calls using customer needs, driver locations, and load information. • Optimize routes with sites and service department to balance cost and satisfaction. • Determine daily driver staffing levels for responsiveness and productivity. • Assign routes and service tickets for current and next day, ensuring completion. • Manage incoming calls and emails for pick‑up or delivery requests. • Communicate with customers while drivers are on site to resolve issues promptly. • Troubleshoot and resolve delivery and pick‑up problems before they affect service. • Ensure same‑day service for missed pick‑ups by tracking driver movement.

What You Bring
This is a remote position that includes virtual training, with a shift start time of 3 am‑7 am CST. Strong communication and computer skills are preferred, and experience in dispatch, routing, or logistics is a plus. Qualifications require a High School diploma or G.E.D. and at least six months of relevant team‑based experience. Candidates must be able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment, possess strong organizational skills, have solid computer abilities across multiple programs, and communicate professionally via email, phone, and two‑way devices while being eager to learn WM’s proprietary software. • Required: High School diploma/GED and at least 6 months of team‑based experience. • Must multitask in a fast‑paced environment with strong organizational skills. • Proficient with multiple computer programs and willing to learn WM software. • Professional communication via email, phone, and two‑way devices. • Home‑office work setting; up to 15% travel may be required.
