About the Role

The Accountant III (Tax) is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role manages tax‑related transactions and reporting, reconciles general ledger accounts, and supports financial reporting and close processes. • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns, including sales/use, franchise, and property taxes • Manage multi-state tax registrations and ensure ongoing compliance • Oversee construction-specific tax matters, including multi-state taxation, sales and use tax, and long-term contract tax implications • Monitor and assess changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the construction industry • Perform balance sheet and general ledger analyses, including account reconciliations • Prepare journal entries and support general ledger accuracy • Collaborate with project managers and accounting teams to ensure accurate job costing and reporting • Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance • Assist the VP Controller with financial reporting activities • Support month-end and year-end close processes • Develop and implement process improvements to streamline financial data flow • Manage, track, and report intercompany tax transactions by account • Resolve intercompany differences and perform reconciliations with Quanta operating units • Support procurement, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions as needed • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insights and training • Develop, document, and improve accounting policies and business processes to strengthen internal controls • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal standards, policies, and procedures

Preferred experience includes construction accounting principles, industry‑specific tax regulations, and familiarity with JD Edwards and Power BI.
