About the Role
The Maintenance Program Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a variety of maintenance programs that support the Maintenance Department. The role may focus on a specific program while also providing analyst support, overseeing inspections, updating performance indicators, managing website content, and handling knowledge‑transfer activities. The specialist also contributes to multiple committees, business‑analysis tasks, and special projects, and can serve in the Emergency Response Organization. Core duties include coordinating inspection readiness for regulatory bodies, generating performance indicators, updating the department website, overseeing knowledge‑transfer and retention processes, creating daily plans, managing program ownership (e.g., weld, lifting‑rigging), and serving as the department training coordinator. Analyst responsibilities involve supporting self‑assessments, benchmarking, work‑group evaluations, investigations, tracking action items, and maintaining the Performance Improvement Action Plan. Business‑analysis tasks cover contract administration, budget development, budget tracking, forecasting, and workforce planning support. The specialist also provides oversight of contract personnel on special projects and may respond to emergencies or outage activities. • Develop, implement, and manage maintenance programs for the Maintenance Department. • Coordinate inspection readiness for NSRB, INPO, NRC and other regulators. • Generate and update performance indicators and critical data exchange inputs. • Maintain department website, knowledge‑transfer/retention processes, and daily plan materials. • Own specific programs such as weld, lifting and rigging, and serve as training coordinator. • Provide analyst support for self‑assessments, benchmarking, work‑group evaluations, and investigations. • Track and complete departmental action items and maintain the Performance Improvement Action Plan. • Participate in committees like New Work Screening, Maintenance Rule Expert Panel, PORC, and Cyber Security Assessment. • Perform business‑analysis duties: contract generation, invoice processing, budget development, tracking, and forecasting. • Oversee contract personnel on special projects and contribute to emergency response and outage activities.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications are a bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience such as a Senior Reactor Operator license, an associate’s degree with four years, or a high‑school diploma/GED with six years. Candidates must meet access and medical requirements for the position. Preferred qualifications include eight years of utility or related‑industry experience, corrective‑action/root‑cause analysis training, Root Cause Evaluator certification, and knowledge of contract administration and budgeting. • Required education/experience: BS +2 years, or SRO license +2 years, or associate +4 years, or high‑school +6 years. • Preferred: 8+ years utility experience, corrective‑action/root‑cause analysis training, Root Cause Evaluator qualification, contract administration and budgeting knowledge.
