About the Role
As a Heavy Equipment Operator II you will operate bulldozers, scrapers, front‑end loaders, and other heavy equipment at recycling facilities serving over 20 million customers, playing a vital role in WM’s operations and safety‑focused waste disposal sites. Key duties include operating equipment in compliance with safety policies, conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance, moving and positioning raw materials and finished components, following standard operating procedures, and performing other assigned tasks. • Operate bulldozers, scrapers, front‑end loaders safely • Perform equipment inspections and preventative maintenance • Move and position raw materials and finished components • Follow standard operating procedures for equipment use

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least three years of heavy‑equipment operating experience, be over 18, legally authorized to work in the U.S., able to meet physical requirements, and pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical; preferred experience includes loaders, dozers, excavators, compactors, and off‑road trucks. Successful team members thrive independently, take accountability for safety, communicate effectively, solve problems on their own, and can adapt to a work environment that includes exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, and occasional physical effort. • Minimum 3 years heavy‑equipment operation experience • Must be 18+, legally authorized to work in the U.S. • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination • Preferred: experience with loaders, dozers, excavators, compactors, off‑road trucks
