Job Highlights
About the Role
The senior Commissioning Manager will oversee commissioning of substations, transmission lines, support buildings and new power technologies, leading both internal staff and specialist subcontractors. Reporting to a Director, the role ensures compliance with the Project Deed, safety standards, and agreed time, cost, quality and scope requirements, supporting Construction Managers and Project Directors throughout. • Deliver health, safety, quality, and environmental objectives. • Ensure systems and components are designed, installed, tested, and operated to meet operational requirements. • Meet or exceed project WHS targets for testing and commissioning activities. • Champion a safe workplace and enforce national, state, and company safety policies for all personnel and subcontractors. • Coordinate with the Environmental Team to incorporate construction input. • Guarantee testing and commissioning meet quality specifications and budget constraints. • Drive cost focus and adhere to cost control systems. • Provide input on service provider selection to the commercial team. • Advise the Commercial Manager of potential claims and maintain proper records. • Lead and manage the commissioning site team to fulfill contractual requirements. • Deliver technical planning, design support, and reporting for commissioning works.

What You Bring
• Proven experience commissioning large‑scale, complex electrical projects (substations and transmission lines). • Relevant tertiary qualification. • Ability to produce comprehensive hand‑over documentation. • Demonstrated leadership in health, safety, quality and environmental performance. • Strong capability to motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. • Sound knowledge of legal, commercial and risk management. • Willingness to work from Sydney office and later on a DIDO roster.
