About the Role

The Assistant Manager – EHS supports the implementation and oversight of Environment, Health & Safety practices across project sites. The role ensures compliance with EHS regulations, company policies, and industry standards while fostering a safe work environment. Key duties include identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and applying control measures. The incumbent implements safety and health management plans, monitors compliance, and ensures contractors adhere to safe work plans. Coordination with design and project teams integrates safety into planning and execution, while environmental management practices such as waste disposal and pollution control are also overseen. • Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments and apply control measures. • Implement safety and health management plans and monitor compliance. • Ensure contractors follow safe work plans and engage competent personnel. • Train vendors on safety responsibilities and achieve regulatory compliance. • Communicate EHS policy, consult employees and promote safe systems of work. • Review contingency and emergency preparedness regularly. • Coordinate with design and project teams to integrate safety into planning and execution. • Implement environmental management practices, including waste disposal and pollution control. • Liaise with statutory bodies for safety audits, fire NOCs and environmental clearances. • Drive continuous improvement through periodic EHS performance reviews.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 5‑8 years of EHS experience on residential, commercial, hospitality or large‑scale construction projects. They must possess knowledge of OSHA, Factory Acts and local environmental laws, be skilled in risk assessment, incident investigation and corrective actions, and be capable of delivering safety training. Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or ISO 45001 are preferred. • Hold BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 5‑8 years of EHS experience. • Experience on residential, commercial, hospitality or large‑scale construction projects. • Knowledge of OSHA, Factory Acts and local environmental laws. • Proficient in risk assessment, incident investigation and corrective action implementation. • Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs. • Familiarity with safety audits, permits and site inspections. • Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or ISO 45001 (preferred).
