About the Role
The Superintendent 2 will plan, manage, and execute all aspects of assigned projects with some complexity, handling material and equipment, assisting with people management, ensuring complete documentation, and meeting project goals for timely and profitable completion. Decisions are made within defined authority limits, with consultation on larger decisions, and the role progresses to Superintendent 3. • Lead safety culture, investigate incidents, and mentor staff to maintain an injury‑free environment. • Manage subcontractors, staff, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO for projects. • Develop work plans, coordinate site control, and oversee overall job workflow. • Conduct daily standup and weekly trade meetings; attend progress and OAC meetings. • Create, adjust, and implement project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager. • Track project budget and costs using the project management system and cost reports. • Communicate key project information to owners, design team, authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers. • Maintain project documentation, including drawings, logs, diaries, and inspection notebooks. • Approve unit cost data and generate daily, weekly, and tracking reports. • Evaluate self‑perform work progress and make necessary adjustments. • Manage material and equipment procurement; support MOC and DLSC processes. • Select formwork, tools, and equipment required for self‑perform operations. • Approve timecards ensuring accurate hours and proper cost coding. • Ensure quality compliance through specifications, QA/QC standards, and external resources. • Supervise pre‑punch activities and coordinate project closeouts with stakeholders. • Participate in project pre‑planning, staffing, and adjust schedules and costs as needed throughout the lifecycle. • Lead talent recruitment and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion. • Manage fairly complex standalone projects end‑to‑end, overseeing scheduling, production, safety, and quality. • Identify, assess, and actively manage project risks, recommending solutions. • Coordinate deliverables from internal resources such as IPS and logistics. • Participate in project pursuits and negotiate changes with owners and architects. • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners. • Manage budgets, maximize profitability, and generate future work through relationships.
