About the Role

The technician collects field data for updating records and creating design documents, performing tasks such as measurement, mapping, photography, inventory, and staking under senior guidance. They must accurately capture information using paper drawings, electronic devices, and digital cameras, identify items with minimal supervision, and quickly learn tools like data loggers, laser range finders, angle finders, and GPS receivers. Deliverables must follow proper standards and symbology, support as‑built drawings, and meet production targets while adhering to Pike Engineering’s Core Values. In the Telecom division, employees upgrade and expand the nation’s telecommunications infrastructure, designing networks to improve wireless and cellular coverage, deploying the latest 5G technologies, and assessing storm damage to restore service after natural disasters. • Collect and record field measurements, mapping data, photographs, and equipment inventories. • Perform staking and other reconnaissance activities under senior technical direction. • Utilize paper forms, electronic data loggers, laser range finders, angle finders, digital cameras, and GPS receivers. • Ensure data accuracy and proper use of standards and symbology for clear office‑based interpretation. • Produce as‑built condition renderings to support new design work. • Meet production schedules and labor‑hour budgets. • Manage multiple tasks and provide leadership to team members when required. • Uphold Pike Engineering’s Core Values in all interactions with employees and clients.
