About the Role
The Market Driver Manager role oversees drivers across a designated market to ensure prompt receipt and delivery of equipment while complying with company and DOT standards. This position is responsible for hiring, training, mentoring, and coaching the delivery team and is accountable for safety and performance. Key duties include orchestrating timely dispatch of rental equipment, managing driver schedules, coordinating with Dispatch Coordinators and store locations, reviewing driver logs and inspections, and handling internal and external customer complaints professionally. • Hire, train, mentor, and coach delivery drivers. • Manage and delegate daily work while ensuring team safety and performance. • Coordinate accurate and timely dispatch of rental equipment and tools across the market. • Schedule drivers and oversee driver on‑yard time to maximize efficiency. • Collaborate with Dispatch Coordinators to create and close rental contracts without delaying deliveries. • Review daily and weekly driver logs and ensure compliance with DOT regulations. • Conduct daily truck inspections and enforce safe, courteous driving practices. • Resolve internal and external customer complaints professionally and follow up for resolution. • Provide feedback to Counter and Service Departments regarding equipment delivery and receipt. • Minimize driver idle time by working closely with store locations and branch teams.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, have at least five years of dispatch experience, and possess working knowledge of construction/industrial equipment and DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. • Minimum five years of dispatching experience in the construction or industrial equipment sector. • Knowledge of DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. • Familiarity with construction/industrial equipment applications and delivery areas. • Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and leadership abilities. • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to meet equipment delivery needs.
