About the Role

In this role the foreman will supervise roughly ten employees, oversee daily crushed‑stone production, and ensure weekly and monthly production goals are met in a safe work environment. Responsibilities include managing pit and mine activities, participating in mine and pit planning, tracking plant downtime, controlling costs, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and driving continuous‑improvement initiatives. The foreman will also handle staffing functions such as hiring, coaching, progressive discipline, and training of the hourly crew, while setting clear performance objectives and providing regular feedback. Compliance with company and government policies, including MSHA safety standards and environmental regulations, is a critical component of the job. • Supervise ~10 employees and daily crushed‑stone production to meet weekly/monthly targets. • Oversee pit and mine activities, participate in mine and pit planning, and track downtime for productivity improvements. • Control costs, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and identify continuous‑improvement opportunities. • Conduct hiring, coaching, progressive discipline, and training for hourly crew. • Ensure compliance with company and government policies, including MSHA safety standards and environmental regulations.

What You Bring

Candidates should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field and have three to five years of experience in operations, engineering, aggregate processing, or surface quarrying. Required skills include basic surveying and mapping, strong mathematics, Microsoft Office proficiency, and the ability to quickly learn software such as Aggflow and Stonemont QC; knowledge of profit‑and‑loss statements and basic accounting principles is beneficial. • Maintain strong communication, leadership, basic surveying, mapping, and math skills. • Preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering and 3‑5 years of aggregate‑processing or surface quarrying experience. • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Aggflow and Stonemont QC is a plus.
