About the Role

The Production Leader will lead and coordinate daily team activities to keep production processes running smoothly, ensure products meet quality standards, and uphold safety measures. This role is critical for maintaining operational efficiency and compliance within a manufacturing environment. It includes completing AAON’s Production Leader Program and managing a team of workers by assigning tasks, providing guidance, and mentoring to maximize productivity and quality. The leader collaborates with management to meet production targets, allocates labor, equipment, and materials, monitors quality control, and addresses production or quality issues promptly. The leader enforces all safety protocols, conducts safety training and audits, and recommends improvements. Additionally, they identify opportunities for process optimization, implement changes, and oversee improvements to boost efficiency. They maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinate with inventory control to minimize waste, and generate regular performance reports on productivity, quality, and efficiency. Regular updates on production status and challenges are provided to management. The role may require lifting and moving objects up to 50 lb, standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods, while wearing appropriate PPE. Workers will be exposed to varying temperatures, loud noise, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects, and heavy forklift traffic, and the position is safety‑sensitive, subject to drug and alcohol testing. • Lead a team, assign tasks, and mentor to maximize productivity. • Allocate labor, equipment, and materials to support production plans. • Monitor and enforce quality control standards, addressing issues promptly. • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, conduct training, and perform safety audits. • Identify and implement process optimizations to improve efficiency. • Maintain accurate raw material and finished‑goods inventory and coordinate with inventory control. • Generate and present regular reports on productivity, quality, and efficiency metrics. • Provide management with updates on production status and challenges.

What You Bring

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a preference for three years of production or manufacturing experience. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a 608 universal refrigerant certification. Key competencies include strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Organizational, time‑management, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and production management software are also required. • Require high school diploma/GED and preferably three years of production/manufacturing experience. • Must obtain and maintain 608 universal refrigerant certification. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, safety regulations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and production management software. • Exhibit excellent communication, problem‑solving, decision‑making, organizational, and time‑management skills. • Ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks while wearing PPE in demanding manufacturing conditions.
