Job Highlights
About the Role
The primary responsibility of this role is to design and develop Medium Voltage Assemblies (MV GIS) that meet customer‑specific technical, cost, and market requirements while complying with IEC, IEEE, and UL standards. The candidate will design, validate, and release MV GIS, perform basic static FEA simulations, support new product production orders, develop prototypes, and prepare type‑test plans and product certifications. They will also implement best DFX practices throughout the product design phase. • Design and develop MV GIS product line. • Create detailed mechanical, electrical, and electronic CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc. • Support production order issues and maintain delivery timelines. • Lead NPI projects and meet milestone and gate deliverables. • Collaborate with engineering and cross‑functional teams to meet customer expectations. • Manage small to medium development projects with project‑management skills. • Apply mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering principles. • Ensure designs comply with IEC, UL, and IEEE standards. • Generate NTI/NPI ideas, pitch, obtain funding, and drive to launch. • Write technical articles, present papers, and prepare patent disclosures. • Analyze product failures and implement root‑cause solutions. • Work with SCM to develop prototypes and conduct development testing for NPI. • Leverage EIIC ecosystem (Test Lab, Digital Org, CDP&T) to build cost‑out portfolio. • Apply mechanical design and drawing expertise for electromechanical products. • Interpret data from multiple sources to define final product requirements. • Influence and manage global stakeholders.
