About the Role
The HDR Northern California Water Business Group seeks a Project Delivery Leader to join its leadership team. This role supports project managers, oversees project delivery, develops project‑management skills, tracks financials, and addresses staffing and quality issues across major California water projects. As a member of the NorCal Water Business Group Leadership team, you will help shape technical delivery programs, champion cross‑business initiatives, and act as a project sponsor, client manager, and point‑of‑contact for select projects. You will also contribute to technical learning paths, mentoring, and recruitment efforts. • Develop project management skills and lead the project management team • Oversee project reviews, delivery, financials, schedule, quality, and staffing • Coordinate technical staff assignments with Area Market Sector Leader • Manage workshare and streamline area project management processes • Champion cross‑business group pursuits and initiatives • Serve as PIC, Project Sponsor, and Client Manager for selected projects • Develop technical learning paths and mentor staff • Recruit and coordinate staffing with market sector and professional services leaders • Plan, direct, and monitor large multidisciplinary projects • Manage multiple projects concurrently • Establish client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings • Collaborate with Business/Accounting Manager and controllers for project reviews • Implement QA/QC procedures and deliver training per strategic plans • Supervise staff and mentor Project Managers

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field, ten years of relevant experience with at least five years in project management, proficiency in Microsoft Office and project‑management software, and strong organizational and communication abilities.
