About the Role
Key duties include organizing and maintaining the warranty and service schedule, collaborating with the Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and Branch Manager to allocate labor resources, and leading regular meetings to communicate best practices to the field service team. The technician also supports onboarding of new hires, exceeds performance metrics such as turnaround time and dispatch volume, and assists with inspections and site audits when needed. • Organize and lead warranty and service schedules. • Allocate labor resources with foremen, supervisors, and managers. • Train, onboard, and develop field service and communications technicians. • Lead regular meetings to share best practices with the field team. • Exceed KPIs for turnaround time, experience rating, and dispatch volume. • Perform inspections and site audits as assigned.

What You Bring
The Field Performance Technician III is responsible for advanced troubleshooting and complex service diagnostics while also leading the training and development of other field performance team members. This role requires a valid electrical journeyman license or equivalent certification that meets state and local regulations. Applicants must have at least three years of field construction experience, including a minimum of one year as a solar service technician, and hold a high school diploma. A valid state or local Electrical Journeyman license is mandatory, and experience with PV design or electrical work is preferred. The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of the NEC and related codes, the ability to interpret single‑line drawings and PV system layouts, and solid troubleshooting skills. Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and time‑management abilities are required, as well as proficiency with computer tools and a commitment to safety and teamwork. Physical demands include transporting materials up to 50 lb frequently (100 lb with assistance), working on rooftops, ladders, and in confined spaces, and operating in varied weather conditions. The role also requires fine motor skills, color recognition, and the ability to hear verbal commands while maintaining safety protocols. • Maintain a valid Journeyman/Electrician license per state requirements. • Minimum 3 years field construction experience; 1 year solar service experience. • Knowledge of NEC, ability to read single‑line drawings, and PV system interconnections. • Strong customer service, communication, organization, and time‑management skills. • Safe handling of up to 50 lb (100 lb with assistance) and work on rooftops, ladders, and confined spaces.
