About the Role
The role involves performing senior‑level fabrication operations and acting as the operational first line of assistance for associates. It includes providing customized products to meet customer specifications. You will coach and train fabrication associates, demonstrate detailed knowledge of all fabrication machines, and examine customer order specifications using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine materials and machine setup. You will fabricate workpieces, retrieve the correct pipe from the yard, and perform duties such as grooving pipe and cutting holes with a plasma cutter. Inspection of finished pieces will be done visually, by touch, or with measuring tools to ensure standards are met, followed by packaging, installing protective devices, and maintaining a clean work area. You will follow safety policies, perform other assigned duties, and troubleshoot complex operational problems for junior associates, often leading daily department operations without hiring authority. Problems encountered are typically difficult and high‑impact, requiring independent resolution and customized solutions under limited supervision. The position may lead daily operations, review work infrequently, and assist with supervisory duties such as training, delegating tasks, and reviewing junior associates’ work. • Coach and train fabrication associates on proper duties. • Examine customer specifications and configure machines accordingly. • Fabricate and assemble pipework, including grooving and plasma‑cutting holes. • Inspect finished pieces with visual and measuring tools to ensure quality. • Package products, install protective devices, and keep the work area clean. • Follow safety policies and troubleshoot complex operational issues. • Lead daily department operations and assist with supervisory tasks. • Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50+ lb in a noisy, temperature‑extreme environment.

What You Bring
The work environment is generally comfortable but includes exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes. The role demands intermittent physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting materials up to 50+ pounds. Overnight travel is required less than 10 % of the time. A technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas. Generally, 7 + years of experience in the relevant field is expected. • Required: technical certification or associate degree (in some areas) and 7+ years of relevant experience. • Travel overnight less than 10 % of the time.
