About the Role
The role is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving operational excellence and cultural transformation across the organization. It leverages Lean and data‑driven methodologies to improve process efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality, safety and customer satisfaction. The Director will shape a global Continuous Improvement roadmap, partner with senior leaders to prioritize high‑impact initiatives, and champion the Otis Performance Excellence system. They will also develop learning curricula, facilitate Kaizen events, coach CI practitioners, and lead root‑cause analysis on critical issues. • Lead development and execution of a global Continuous Improvement roadmap embedding Lean principles. • Partner with senior leadership to prioritize initiatives that improve cost, quality, safety, and delivery. • Champion the Otis Performance Excellence (OPXL) system to achieve operational excellence. • Build and scale a learning curriculum, integrating CI training into enterprise platforms like Workday Learning. • Facilitate Kaizen events and cross‑functional projects to eliminate waste and accelerate growth. • Coach and mentor a network of CI practitioners and subject‑matter experts to deliver measurable outcomes. • Drive Relentless Root Cause Analysis (RRCA) on critical quality and performance issues. • Promote cultural transformation toward accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. • Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor operational performance and project efficiency. • Report cost savings, productivity gains, and reliability improvements to executive leadership. • Apply advanced project management expertise using data‑driven decision making.

What You Bring
The Director of Continuous Improvement position is based in Farmington, CT, with flexibility to work remotely near a major travel hub. It reports to the Continuous Improvement Center of Excellence Leader and was posted on January 7, 2026. Success in this role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, quality or a related discipline, with a master’s preferred, and 7‑10 years of continuous improvement leadership experience. Candidates should have a proven track record with Lean, Six Sigma or Agile methodologies, strong strategic and change‑management skills, and excellent communication and analytical abilities. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Quality or a related field; master’s preferred. • Possess 7‑10 years of experience leading continuous improvement initiatives with Lean, Six Sigma or Agile. • Maintain certification in Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent (preferred). • Demonstrate extensive experience in manufacturing, supply chain, warehousing, logistics or engineering. • Exhibit strong strategic thinking, change‑management, and influencing skills at all organizational levels. • Excel in communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical problem solving.

Benefits
The salary range for this position is $170,000‑190,000, with compensation determined by factors such as education, experience, certifications, geographic location and performance.
