About the Role
The Engineer is responsible for ensuring the project is constructed according to contract specifications, schedule, and quality standards. The role includes supervisory responsibility for junior engineering staff and reports to a senior project leader. • Act as liaison with architects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, inspectors, Turner staff, and Owner's Representatives to resolve plan and specification issues. • Oversee and decide on contract drawings and subcontract information, ensuring alignment with the estimate. • Manage the project budget. • Manage submittals and shop drawings, assess conformance to contract specifications, and resolve interpretation conflicts. • Negotiate change orders, prepare independent analyses, obtain estimates, secure architect and owner approvals, and resolve related conflicts. • Oversee the close‑out process, preparing final records such as RFIs, warranties, as‑builts, O&M manuals, attic stock, and spare parts, ensuring contract compliance. • Supervise Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks, and Interns, including input on performance appraisals. • Prepare scope of work documents for trades. • Develop reports such as general conditions items, labor, safety, change order logs, and quality control. • Schedule and manage subcontractor trade coordination meetings, pre‑construction meetings, and submittal review meetings.

What You Bring
The position is located in the Critical Facilities – Data Centers division in the United States. It is a regular, salaried exempt role classified as experienced, with travel requirements of 80–90%. The job falls under the Construction family and is intended for candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Physical demands include regular sitting, standing, walking, and occasional climbing, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The work environment may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and moderate to very loud noise. Reasonable accommodations are provided for individuals with disabilities. • Bachelor’s degree plus minimum four years of related experience, or equivalent education, training, and experience. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and leading‑edge technologies such as BIM and LEAN. • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules. • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
