About the Role
In this position you will work alongside industry leaders and technical specialists on major mining projects across Australia and abroad. Your day will involve preparing technical reports, producing design documentation, and navigating every project phase from feasibility studies to execution. What You Bring
The Resource & Industry (R&I) team in Western Australia is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with proven mining infrastructure experience to join our Perth office. The role supports mining and industrial clients who are targeting zero‑emission operations, optimizing production while reducing costs and environmental impact. You will contribute to projects that span concept, design, engineering, construction, commissioning, operation and de‑commissioning for both greenfield and brownfield assets. We are looking for candidates who hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and have 2‑6 years of relevant experience, preferably within a consultancy or owner‑side environment that uses a Front End Loading approach. Experience in designing bulk material handling and fluid handling systems, as well as drafting specifications, datasheets, and scopes of work, is highly valued. Strong communication, problem‑solving and a collaborative mindset are essential, and the ability to quickly learn new engineering software is a plus. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Possess 2–6 years of relevant experience, ideally in consultancy or owner‑side roles using Front End Loading. • Demonstrate strong communication, problem‑solving, and collaborative abilities.
