About the Role

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION The role supports station maintenance through work‑support activities such as scaffolding, insulation, painting, door and facility maintenance, and tool‑room responsibilities. The Utility Technician works independently or in teams under guidance from the Lead Maintenance Technician or Supervisor, follows established procedures, and performs work safely and in compliance with environmental permits. • Repair and maintain buildings, doors, walls, windows, lighting, and paint in the power block. • Perform minor rigging, scaffolding, hoist inspections, and insulation/asbestos work. • Provide labor support for general facility maintenance. • Manage tool‑room duties, including issuance of tools and test equipment. • Operate forklift as required.

What You Bring

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must be able to obtain unescorted nuclear access, work varied shifts, travel to multiple power plants, and successfully complete Utility Technician training. Acceptable backgrounds include prior power‑plant or industrial maintenance experience (HVAC, scaffolding, tool‑room) or one of the following: satisfactory completion of a Navy nuclear program, an associate degree in a technical field, or a high school diploma with relevant industrial training and experience. • Obtain unescorted nuclear access and work varied shifts, traveling to multiple power plants. • Complete required Utility Technician training. • Have prior power‑plant or industrial maintenance experience (HVAC, scaffolding, tool‑room) or meet one of the education criteria (Navy nuclear program, associate degree, or high school diploma with relevant training).
