About the Role
The Security Guard Supervisor will directly supervise the security guard staff assigned to a Homeowners Association, reporting to the Security Operations Supervisor for Desert Resort Management and adhering to policies set by the Community Association Manager and the Board of Directors. Work is performed in a climate‑controlled office with frequent standing, walking, and occasional overtime, including on‑call, weekends, and 24‑hour emergencies. • Follow broad directions and operate within guidelines set by Desert Resort Management and the Board. • Communicate daily, weekly, and monthly updates. • Train and develop security guards screened and background‑checked by Desert Resort Management. • Provide specialized training on vehicles, radios, phones, computers, gate operations, laws, patrol techniques, HOA rules, incident report writing, and company procedures. • Ensure shift supervisors are adequately trained. • Maintain proper operation and upkeep of officer equipment, including vehicles, radios, surveillance cameras, and computers. • Oversee maintenance of gates and barrier arms. • Register all vehicles and golf carts according to HOA and Desert Resort Management procedures. • Monitor all vehicular traffic, including entry, parking, and towing requirements. • Conduct annual performance evaluations for supervised employees. • Review surveillance camera recordings. • Analyze daily security guard reports and memoranda. • Assist in developing or updating manuals, procedures, and specifications. • Plan, direct, and control operational assignments for the security team and related stakeholders. • Regularly stand, reach above shoulders, use hands for data entry, and communicate verbally. • Occasionally sit to process information.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a Guard Card, a valid driver’s license, and 0–3 years of related experience. Required skills include knowledge of state safety regulations, conflict‑resolution techniques, strong customer service, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Knowledge of state or local safety regulations. • Proficient conflict‑resolution techniques. • Professional customer service abilities. • Self‑motivated, proactive, detail‑oriented team player. • Ability to interpret and complete verbal and written instructions. • Strong time‑management and prioritization skills. • Guard Card required. • Valid driver’s license required. • Non‑typical office environment with frequent standing, walking, and talking, both indoors and outdoors. • Required overtime on‑call, weekends, and 24‑hour emergencies. • Work in climate‑controlled office without exposure to adverse conditions such as dust, noise, extreme temperatures, or hazardous substances.
