About the Role
In this role you will lead tunnelling project delivery, manage field investigations, produce design and analysis deliverables, interface with clients, prepare proposals, and mentor junior staff. • Support delivery of tunnelling projects across the U.S. and Canada. • Oversee staff and execute field investigation programs for data collection. • Perform detailed analyses of tunnels and underground structures. • Develop and evaluate field instrumentation programs. • Manage staff producing design solutions, reports, specifications, and drawings. • Write technical memoranda and reports for client submission. • Engage directly with clients, respond to queries, and attend design/progress meetings. • Contribute to and prepare proposals for client submission. • Develop design programs and independently manage project teams. • Mentor junior and graduate engineers, supporting their development.

What You Bring
We are expanding our tunnel practice and are seeking a senior project engineer – civil, geotechnical or structural – based in NY/NJ to lead underground design and construction projects, preferably with experience in transportation or water/wastewater infrastructure. The ideal candidate holds a B.Sc. in civil, structural or geotechnical engineering (M.Sc. preferred), a PE license in NY or NJ (or can obtain within 12 months), 8–15 years of consulting experience, and proficiency with software such as STRAND7, SAP, STAAD, Plaxis, GeoStudio, Rocscience and BIM tools. NCTI certification and strong references are a plus.
