Job Highlights
About the Role
Perform tasks across various work centers, including bottom welding with perforated LVB holes, projection welding with LVB holes, seam welding with flanging, layout with rod stacking, horn presses, hanging, cover punching, paint booth operations, and tank unhang procedures. Receive training in safe chemical handling, proper disposal of waste materials, and adherence to safety, quality, and operating instructions. Position, hang, and remove transformer tanks and associated parts from a powered overhead conveyor line. Manually handle medium‑heavy weight materials and operate hoists and other material handling equipment, including powered industrial trucks. Monitor and maintain the automatic paint booth, manually apply paint to hard‑to‑reach parts, add paint as needed, conduct titration tests for chemical balance, and verify paint cure and dry‑off oven temperatures. Conduct routine machine maintenance by following specified lists (oven pick list, PQP, VOP, IDP, verbal instructions), operate MIG welding equipment, and use both manual and powered hand tools as well as simple measuring devices. Safely operate overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility. Adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). • Perform welding (bottom, projection, seam) and related tasks across multiple work centers. • Operate layout, horn presses, hanging, cover punching, paint booth, and tank unhang procedures. • Receive training in safe chemical handling, waste disposal, and compliance with safety and quality standards. • Position, hang, and remove transformer tanks and parts from powered overhead conveyor lines. • Manually handle medium‑heavy materials and operate hoists, powered industrial trucks, and overhead cranes. • Monitor, maintain, and manually paint within the automatic paint booth; conduct chemical titration and verify oven temperatures. • Conduct routine machine maintenance following prescribed lists and operate MIG welding equipment. • Use manual and powered hand tools and simple measuring devices. • Perform basic mathematical calculations and lift up to 40 lb while executing physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and reaching. • Follow proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
