Job Highlights
About the Role
The engineer will provide technical leadership, coach team members, and ensure high‑quality simulation across the product lifecycle—from concept development to launch—supporting simulation‑driven decision‑making. Close collaboration with the sales team, internal stakeholders, and other business units is required to develop cost‑effective solutions and meet tender deadlines. • Record and maintain the enquiry register regularly. • Review customer bid documents, technical specifications and identify scope, deviations, and clarifications. • Prepare comprehensive pre‑bid documentation and determine technically appropriate, cost‑effective solutions. • Gather backup data, quotations, and cost information from internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors. • Coordinate and conduct meetings with engineering, legal, operations, and other business units. • Identify potential risks in bids, estimates, quotations, and proposed solutions. • Ensure all pre‑tender processes comply with Hitachi Energy procedures and guidelines. • Draft techno‑commercial proposals tailored to the local market and customer bidding processes. • Follow customer tender portals, support the sales team during negotiations and clarifications. • Track proposal status, follow‑up with sales and CS FES teams, and plan daily offer volumes. • Create sales orders in SAP, manage associated activities, and prepare post‑order documentation. • Analyse lost proposals to improve future bidding performance.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with 8‑10 years of experience, strong CFD expertise, and proficiency in tools such as ANSYS CFX/FLUENT, COMSOL, or StarCCM+. Experience with high‑voltage products, ProE CAD, and strong communication skills in English are also required.
