About the Role
The Driver (CDL B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous waste removal services while ensuring vehicle compliance with company safety standards and completing daily vehicle condition reports. Key duties include thorough pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, following route sheets to service customers, operating manual or automatic controls to load and compact refuse, and disposing of material at designated facilities. The role requires courteous interaction with customers and dispatchers, identification and tagging of unsatisfactory waste containers, monitoring waste for compliance, cleaning spills safely, and maintaining the truck’s cleanliness and readiness on each trip. Drivers must complete required route, productivity, and VCR reports, meet departmental productivity standards, adhere to all safety policies, actively participate in the ReSOP program, and perform any additional job‑related tasks as assigned.
