Shipping Associate

About the Role

The Shipping Associate role ensures that products are shipped accurately and on time to customers. This includes verifying outgoing shipments, maintaining records in the shipping computer system, and operating material handling equipment to move inventory to outbound staging areas. The associate works closely with production control, customer service, and other teams to keep product flow smooth and meets daily shipping targets set by leadership. Employees are expected to follow all standard operating procedures, safety rules, and 6S housekeeping standards. The role may require overtime, coverage for lead personnel, and assistance to other departments during slow periods. A strong focus on accuracy, documentation, and continuous improvement is essential for success in this position. • Ship products to customers and verify outgoing shipments for accuracy. • Enter and complete shipping transactions in the computer system, maintaining precise records. • Operate material handling equipment to move products to the outbound staging area safely. • Achieve daily shipping goals based on leadership targets and customer demand. • Generate shipping and receiving reports, complete bills of lading, and process required paperwork with high accuracy. • Confirm product count, weight, and match items to customer orders before shipment. • Repack orders to shipping standards to prevent damage during transit. • Maintain an adequate supply of shipping materials and adhere to all SOPs and safety protocols. • Collaborate with Production Control and Customer Service to resolve order discrepancies. • Provide cross‑departmental assistance during low‑work periods and cover lead responsibilities as needed. • Successfully complete the in‑company forklift driver training program and safely operate the forklift.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and possess basic computer and data‑entry skills. Proficiency with parcel shipping software, basic math, and the ability to read and write English are required.
