About the Role
The Senior Technical Writer for IT and Professional Services develops proposal content that meets compliance and quality standards. This role works closely with the Multi‑Award Contract Response Team (MRT) to ensure coordinated delivery. While applicants from any location are considered, candidates in the Eastern Standard Time zone are preferred for collaboration. The position is remote‑first. Key responsibilities include reviewing RFPs and RFIs, collaborating on strategy, conducting analyses, leading section development, interviewing subject‑matter experts, writing and editing narratives, ensuring compliance, formatting documents, managing files, overseeing production, and occasionally serving as a Proposal Manager. • Review and interpret RFP/RFI requirements to create compliant outlines and templates. • Collaborate with MRT members to develop proposal strategy and capture decisions. • Conduct comparison analysis of RFP amendments and update documentation accordingly. • Lead development of assigned proposal sections, including research, boilerplate assessment, and SME interviews. • Write, edit, and tailor narrative content to meet compliance, strategy, and Chugach standards. • Perform detailed compliance reviews of peer narratives and provide feedback. • Copy edit for grammar, accuracy, clarity, and adherence to standards. • Format proposals in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Acrobat to produce print‑ready documents. • Maintain organized files and drafts per company standards. • Direct production and packaging of proposal documents for formal reviews. • Assist in creating review team evaluation packages and manage section revisions. • Support overall proposal production activities and ensure final product accuracy. • Conduct independent boilerplate research and drafting. • Serve as Proposal Manager on select opportunities when needed. • Prioritize work, handle confidential matters discreetly, and conduct data analysis.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, or a related field and bring at least eight years of federal proposal writing experience together with four years supporting technical operations. Critical thinking, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications are required, and travel up to 15 % may be expected. Experience with GWAC/MAC vehicles is a plus. • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and professional judgment. • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, or equivalent. • Minimum eight years of federal proposal writing experience. • At least four years supporting technical operations (IT, logistics, professional services). • Strong critical and non‑linear thinking abilities. • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Acrobat. • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time. • Preferred: experience with GWAC/MAC vehicles and proposal development.
