About the Role
The Design Engineer works primarily in an office setting, delivering civil site, access, and drainage designs that include permitting support, site layout, grading, stormwater analysis, survey coordination, and construction inspections. Under the direct oversight of a Professional Engineer, the role collaborates with civil, structural, geotechnical, construction management, and other discipline experts to produce construction drawings, specifications, and engineering support during construction. • Apply standard civil engineering techniques to develop site, access, and drainage designs. • Produce civil construction specifications, drawings, and stormwater calculations using modeling software. • Coordinate with geotechnical, structural, transmission, GIS, and construction teams. • Prepare written reports and deliver verbal project updates professionally. • Conduct occasional site visits across North America.

What You Bring
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification, with 1–4 years of civil site design experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work efficiently with moderate supervision are required; familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation is preferred. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and an EIT/FE certification. • Possess 1–4 years of civil site design experience and strong communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiar with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation. • Able to lift 40 lb, bend, climb, work on uneven terrain, and travel up to 25% of the year.
