About the Role
Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the storage, coordination and supply of all materials to the machine build team in our manufacturing facility, working as part of a team to ensure safe and efficient material flow to production. The role involves co‑developing a strategic layout for parts storage, overseeing efficient handling of materials, communicating parts movement with the forklift driver, collaborating with supply chain teams for timely delivery, checking inbound goods against build kit requirements, ordering missing or damaged parts, and informing the Machine Build Supervisor of parts availability and any shortages. Additional responsibilities include managing Return to Stores and reject processes, ensuring compliance with inventory control measures, escalating key issues to supervisors or managers, adhering to internal environmental and waste management procedures, following standard work protocols, maintaining 5S housekeeping standards, and operating FLT/PIT equipment when required. • Develop and maintain strategic layout for parts storage ensuring safety and accessibility. • Handle and move materials efficiently, coordinating with forklift driver. • Collaborate with supply chain to guarantee timely delivery of parts. • Verify inbound goods, confirm build kit completeness, and work with quality team. • Order replacement or damaged parts as needed. • Communicate parts availability and delivery timelines to Machine Build Supervisor. • Manage Return to Stores (RTS) and reject processes. • Perform inventory control activities, including receipting goods in systems. • Escalate critical issues to Supervisor or Managers. • Adhere to environmental, waste management, and standard work procedures. • Maintain 5S housekeeping standards in yard and work areas. • Operate FLT and PIT equipment when required.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate will have strong planning and organizational skills, experience in material handling or a similar role, excellent communication abilities, the capacity to work independently and under pressure, a current forklift/combi‑lift licence, knowledge of inventory control (advantageous), a logical problem‑solving approach, and IT literacy with exposure to MRP systems. • Strong planning and organisational abilities. • Experience in material handling or similar role. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Capability to meet deadlines under pressure. • Current forklift/combi‑lift licence. • Knowledge of inventory control (advantageous). • Logical, methodical problem‑solving approach. • IT literacy and familiarity with MRP systems (beneficial).
