About the Role
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing complex, large‑scale mechanical construction projects from pre‑construction through close‑out. The SPM ensures strategic alignment, profitability, and operational excellence across multiple projects, mentors project teams, builds strong client relationships, and collaborates across departments to drive success in HVAC, plumbing, and process piping scopes within commercial construction. • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of multiple high‑value mechanical construction projects. • Drive pre‑construction activities, including estimating support, scope definition, and constructability reviews. • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, procurement strategies, and manpower planning. • Serve as primary client liaison and coordinate with general contractors, engineers, and stakeholders. • Guide project teams of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers. • Review and approve contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and billing. • Monitor performance metrics such as productivity, cost, risk, and cash flow. • Partner with field leadership and safety managers to ensure safe, high‑quality installations. • Resolve design coordination, logistics, and resource management challenges. • Support Lean construction, prefabrication opportunities, and process improvements. • Assist in hiring, developing, and retaining project management talent.

What You Bring
• 8–10+ years managing mechanical construction projects in commercial or industrial settings. • Proven track record delivering multi‑million‑dollar projects. • Expert knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems and construction sequencing. • Strong financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting, and contract compliance. • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and project management software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint). • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment. • Willingness to travel 80–100% to project sites and regional offices. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. • OSHA 30 certification; design‑build or CMAR experience preferred; familiarity with BIM/VDC and prefabrication.
