About the Role
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, deterring and responding to threats, and following Club Security Department policies. The position supports the overall Discovery Land Company experience by providing protection, emergency response, and concierge-style service. • Maintain safe residential and work environment by identifying, treating, and reducing threats and risks. • Control access to the property, ensuring only authorized individuals enter. • Provide medical response (CPR, AED, First Aid) to members, guests, and employees on site. • Investigate and document significant incidents or accidents as directed by supervisors. • Offer emergency management advice during natural disasters. • Enforce club health and safety policies and comply with local, state, and federal regulations. • Apply the company’s Use‑of‑Force policy and manage related incidents to limit liability. • Deliver “concierge” security service, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests. • Work outdoors in all weather conditions and stand or walk for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lb. • Flexibly schedule evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional long hours as business demands require.

What You Bring
• Possess prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or customer service. • Hold a valid New York driver’s license, clear criminal background, and high school diploma or higher. • Obtain or maintain a New York Guard Card and certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid. • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication and basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). • Exhibit a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills. • Ability to stay calm and focused during high‑stress situations and to work effectively in a team.
