About the Role

The position involves on‑site oversight of multidisciplinary trade contracts, coordination of construction activities in 24/7 occupied facilities, and close collaboration with procurement, facilities, clinical, research, and security teams. The manager also supports procurement, prepares bid documents, administers contracts, monitors safety and compliance, and maintains comprehensive field reporting. • Serve as the primary on‑site Parsons representative, overseeing multidisciplinary trades on an active academic healthcare and research campus. • Manage construction activities for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, envelope, pavements, and minor structural repairs while maintaining uninterrupted patient care and research operations. • Plan and coordinate phasing, logistics, access routes, temporary protections, and utility shutdowns in collaboration with facilities, clinical, research, and security teams. • Lead regular on‑site meetings, identify field issues early, develop solutions, and coordinate with designers and stakeholders to resolve conflicts. • Develop scopes of work, prepare RFPs/IFBs, conduct pre‑bid site walks, respond to bidder inquiries, and participate in bid evaluation and contract award processes. • Administer trade contracts in the field, managing RFIs, submittals, field directives, coordination issues, and minor scope changes. • Enforce safety, infection control, fire/life safety, and environmental controls (dust, noise, vibration) and ensure compliance with codes, NFPA, FGI, and campus standards. • Track and report trade progress, schedule status, manpower, milestones, issues, and risks; validate daily reports and support payment applications and change orders. • Maintain comprehensive field documentation, including daily reports, meeting minutes, photographs, as‑built markups, and closeout records.

Parsons is seeking a Field Project Manager with extensive healthcare facilities operations experience to provide on‑site leadership for infrastructure projects on an active academic healthcare and research campus. This field‑focused role spends the majority of time on campus job sites coordinating daily work, managing contractors, and ensuring safety, quality, and continuity of patient care and research operations. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, at least seven years of progressive field‑based experience in facilities operations or construction, and proven experience managing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and structural projects on active healthcare or research campuses. Preferred qualifications include experience in academic medical centers, professional certifications such as CHFM or PMP, and familiarity with healthcare accreditation and campus construction standards. • Required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), 7+ years progressive field experience, proven on‑site management of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and structural projects on occupied healthcare/research campuses. • Preferred: Experience in academic medical centers, CHFM/CHC/PMP/CCM certifications, familiarity with healthcare accreditation, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
