About the Role

The role involves providing commercial support for large water‑company capital programmes, advising project managers on contractual obligations, monitoring queries, and ensuring accurate payment processes and due‑diligence checks. You will also prepare cost estimates, cost plans and standard documentation to support project development and budget governance. • Support water companies in delivering large capital programmes and improving the environment. • Provide commercial support for large projects or programmes. • Advise the Project Manager on contractual obligations. • Monitor and process commercial queries from consultants and contractors. • Attend progress meetings to address commercial matters. • Assess payment applications and coordinate with consultants/contractors. • Perform periodic commercial checks and due diligence with the Project Manager. • Assess consultants' and contractors' estimates to completion. • Review, negotiate, and recommend acceptance of final accounts. • Prepare estimates and cost plans for project development and budget governance. • Produce standard documentation such as reports, valuations, letters, and financial statements.

What You Bring

We are expanding our Environment and Water portfolio and are seeking Quantity Surveyors who are passionate about collaborating with clients to deliver complex projects on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards, with a strong commitment to safety. This position offers the chance to work on some of the UK’s most challenging infrastructure projects, gaining valuable experience and growth opportunities within a dynamic team. Candidates must hold a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying and have experience with NEC and other target‑cost or cost‑reimbursable contracts. Proven experience in a cost consultancy or main contractor environment, strong contract management skills and a background in large‑scale infrastructure projects are required, along with pre‑ and post‑contract exposure and collaborative teamwork abilities. • Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying. • Experience with NEC and other target‑cost or cost‑reimbursable contracts. • Proven delivery experience in a cost consultancy or main contractor environment. • Developed contract management skills. • Experience on large‑scale infrastructure projects. • Pre‑ and post‑contract experience. • Ability to work collaboratively in teams. • Willingness to travel to client sites, including overnight stays.
