About the Role

The Plant Maintenance Supervisor role at WM oversees the Maintenance Department to ensure plant equipment and facilities are kept in line with sound engineering practices. This is a 3rd‑shift position at a state‑of‑the‑art recycling facility, with training on the first shift before moving to a 9:00 pm start on either Sunday‑Thursday or Tuesday‑Saturday. In this position you will direct the preventive maintenance program, develop and manage a qualified maintenance team, and schedule repairs to keep downtime to a minimum. You will also work with other departments on equipment modifications, oversee plant transportation equipment maintenance, and manage spare parts inventories. • Lead and oversee the preventive maintenance program for plant equipment and facilities. • Develop and manage a qualified maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient operations. • Schedule and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime and production interference. • Collaborate with other departments on equipment modifications and replacements to improve operations and reduce costs. • Oversee maintenance of plant transportation equipment and ensure spare parts inventory control. • Conduct cost analyses and recommend cost‑saving measures to the Plant Manager. • Provide leadership and training to MRF Maintenance Technicians. • Ensure preventive inspections and corrective repairs meet or exceed company standards. • Work third shift (9:00 pm start) after completing first‑shift training.
