About the Role

• Perform site civil design, permitting, and hydrology modeling using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and storm‑drainage software. • Manage land‑development projects from research and coordination through cost estimating and bid package preparation. • Oversee staff, ensure compliance with land‑disturbance permits, and develop technical specifications. • Provide on‑the‑job training, mentorship, and support for plan production, project financials, and client interactions.

What You Bring

Kimley‑Horn’s Dallas Downtown office is hiring a Civil Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) with at least two years of experience to join its Land Development team. The role focuses on site development engineering and project management for a variety of land‑development projects and is based on‑site, not remote. • Minimum 2 years experience at a civil engineering design firm. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program. • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern certification, or ability to obtain within 12 months. • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication. • Demonstrated urgency, self‑initiative, detail‑orientation, and ability to work independently and in teams.
