Job Highlights
About the Role
We are hiring a remote Civil OSP Telecom Lead to conduct design review, quality control, and project‑management support across our OSP programs. The role addresses growing civil OSP volumes by absorbing review workloads, eliminating bottlenecks, and ensuring consistent delivery when the broader team is at capacity. The specialist will verify design packages against client documentation, local jurisdictional rules, and national standards, acting as a critical quality gate before deliverables advance. • Conduct detailed reviews of Civil OSP design packages—including trenching, duct banks, microducts, manholes/handholes, routing, and utility coordination—to ensure compliance with client, local, and national standards (NEC, NESC, UFC, RUS, BICSI). • Provide QC oversight by identifying inconsistencies, missing elements, conflicts, or non‑compliance and delivering clear, actionable comments to designers, CAD teams, and subcontractors. • Assist project managers with design review cycles, comment logs, deadlines, submittal tracking, and support coordination meetings during high‑workload periods. • Integrate client and permitting agency review comments into the design workflow. • Collaborate with OSP engineers, civil designers, GIS teams, and construction stakeholders to align design intent with field conditions and program strategy. • Participate in routing analysis and constructability validation for new or revised alignments. • Maintain and enhance Civil‑OSP QC checklists, identify recurring review issues, and streamline upstream design processes. • Mentor and onboard junior reviewers or external resources. • Leverage digital tools such as Smartsheet, workflow automation, dashboards, and QC trackers to improve consistency and reduce manual effort.
