About the Role
The firm is hiring a Cost Estimator to support a global technology client’s office space portfolio in Cupertino. The hybrid role requires on‑site presence three days a week (Tuesday‑Thursday) and focuses on producing accurate cost estimates for architecturally innovative commercial office projects while supporting benchmarking, cost tracking, and indexing throughout the project lifecycle. • Prepare detailed cost estimates for office construction, remodels, tenant improvements, and renovations. • Interpret drawings and specifications to determine scope, materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. • Analyze historical cost data and industry trends to support benchmarking and future planning. • Develop and maintain cost databases and indexes tracking pricing fluctuations and regional variations. • Monitor construction costs, providing regular updates and variance analysis to ensure budget adherence. • Perform value engineering to meet budget goals without compromising quality or functionality. • Assist in soliciting, evaluating, and reviewing bids from subcontractors and suppliers for competitiveness and compliance. • Prepare cost analysis reports and present findings to clients and senior management. • Forecast and manage cash flow requirements for office space projects. • Identify and assess potential cost risks, recommending mitigation strategies during pre‑construction and construction phases. • Communicate effectively and collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. • Commit to on‑site work in Cupertino three days per week and adhere to applicable SOX controls.

What You Bring
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. • Possess at least five years of cost estimating experience in office space or similar commercial construction. • Demonstrate proficiency with cost estimating software such as ProEst, Buildertrend, Procore, or Bluebeam. • Exhibit strong analytical, problem‑solving, and value‑engineering skills.
