About the Role
Key responsibilities include evolving and communicating the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, as well as monitoring product financials and metrics against goals and budget. Kimley-Horn is looking for a passionate and highly skilled Product Owner to join its Technology Solutions team. The role serves as a bridge across business, sales, marketing, development, and practice stakeholders, ensuring business needs are clearly understood and translated into actionable requirements. The Product Owner will manage product vision, roadmap, and backlog while delivering high‑value software solutions. This is an in‑office position. The Product Owner must prioritize and manage the product backlog to align with revenue goals, business objectives, and stakeholder needs, and actively participate in product launches through demonstrations and presentations that convey features, benefits, and value propositions. A bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience in a product owner or business analyst role are required, along with experience in modern SaaS solutions and Agile methodologies. Strong self‑starting attitude, time‑management, communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience in the solar or renewable energy industry, CAD expertise with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar tools, and geospatial data experience. Additional desirable backgrounds are business analysis, data analytics, and certifications such as CSPO, CBAP, Lean, or Six Sigma. Familiarity with UX/UI design principles, Design Thinking, and Human‑Centered Design is also valued. • Hold a bachelor's degree and 5+ years of product owner or business analyst experience. • Experience with modern SaaS solutions and Agile methodologies. • Demonstrate strong communication, emotional intelligence, and relationship‑building skills. • Preferred: solar/renewable energy background, AutoCAD Civil 3D, geospatial data, business analytics, CSPO/CBAP certification, UX/UI design knowledge, Design Thinking, Lean or Six Sigma.
