About the Role
Our Insulators will be responsible for applying insulating materials or ductwork, or other mechanical systems in order to help control and maintain temperature. Work involves technical application of mechanical principles. This is done using the appropriate equipment and implementing required safety practices in support of RQ’s Mission, Vision, and Values. • Install and apply insulation to piping, ductwork, and mechanical systems on Camp Lejeune, NC. • Follow safety protocols and use appropriate equipment in accordance with RQ Construction standards. • Provide proof of identity, U.S. work authorization, and pass drug screening and DoD background checks.

What You Bring
We are looking to hire several skilled Mechanical and Piping Insulators for ongoing work at Camp Lejeune, NC. All work will be performed on the military base and paid the required Davis‑Bacon prevailing wage specific to the base. Applications are being accepted into a candidate pool for this position at this moment in time. Education & Experience: A high school diploma or G.E.D. is the minimal education required, ideally supplemented by completion of a Union, private (in‑house), military, or trade‑school apprenticeship program that includes theory and on‑the‑job work. Four or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey‑level mechanical piping insulator is required; apprenticeship is preferred. Government, military, or large commercial construction experience is also preferred.
