About the Role
The Drawing & Occupancy Technologist II supports project deliverables, transitions new accounts, and provides reporting and analysis for BGIS. The role involves creating and maintaining architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical drawings, as well as supporting occupancy tools for a diverse client base. It operates with minimal supervision and may mentor or coach team members as needed. In the area of Occupancy Administration, the technologist updates daily client requests, verifies on‑site conditions, and ensures accurate documentation. Responsibilities include developing drawings according to occupancy policies, maintaining filing protocols, supporting site audit programs, and escalating issues to the Team Lead when required. The role also fosters internal relationships and delivers training and support to team members, clients, and global initiatives. • Update daily client requests and verify on‑site conditions. • Create and maintain architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical drawings. • Develop drawings per occupancy policies and manage filing protocols. • Support site audit programs and implement required changes. • Escalate internal issues or potential risks to the Team Lead. • Provide training and ongoing support to team members and clients. • Meet project time constraints and quality KPI targets. • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities. • Stay abreast of technology changes and role‑related training. • Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders.

What You Bring
The position requires a college diploma in a technical discipline (architectural, structural, electrical, or mechanical) and 3‑5 years of relevant experience. Candidates must be proficient with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD 2010, and have knowledge of Revit or MicroStation. Strong skills in MS Office, analytical problem‑solving, communication, organization, and self‑drive are essential, along with a valid driver’s licence. • Maintain proficiency in AutoCAD 2010; knowledge of Revit/MicroStation preferred. • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

Benefits
This is a regular full‑time role with a salary range of $52,864‑$66,080 per year, determined by competencies, experience, education, and performance. Professional certifications such as Autodesk or BOMA are considered assets. The position is onsite, and the employer may use AI in screening, though final decisions are made by human reviewers.
