About the Role
• Lead and manage consulting firms for permit applications, construction plans, site monitoring, and regulatory submittals. • Serve as primary liaison with regulators, representing WM at permit meetings, hearings, and site inspections. • Oversee landfill construction projects, including plan preparation, bid administration, contractor coordination, and quality assurance. • Track and report capital budgets for engineering and construction projects using company procedures. • Develop airspace calculations and capacity projections to manage landfill capacity and sequencing plans. • Conduct site evaluations for compliance with construction and permit documents and identify expansion opportunities. • Provide innovative, cost‑effective engineering solutions for operational, environmental, and compliance challenges across facilities. • Support acquisition reviews and divestiture evaluations with pro‑forma modeling and due‑diligence coordination. • Mentor and supervise technical staff, providing training and guidance.

What You Bring
The role seeks an experienced engineer in the environmental and solid waste industry who will lead technical projects, manage engineering and construction at solid waste disposal facilities, and mentor junior staff.
