About the Role
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side or rear lift attachments to transport waste or recyclables to disposal, transfer or recycling facilities. Responsibilities vary by line of business: Commercial Drivers handle container pick‑up, Residential Drivers collect household waste, and Roll‑Off Drivers load and move large open‑top containers, all requiring skilled backing and navigation of congested streets, alleys and lots. • Operate vehicles in compliance with WM Safety, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR). • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or service interruptions to the Operations Manager or Dispatch immediately. • Attend required training programs, briefings, and meetings as directed. • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and share best practices. • Communicate customer requests to Dispatch or the Operations Manager. • Dump receptacles and ensure the customer's location is left clean and free of debris. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and assist other drivers as needed.

What You Bring
• Hold a Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B with an air‑brake endorsement. • Be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to work in the United States, and pass a DOT drug screen and physical. • No prior experience required; be physically able to handle containers that may weigh over 1,000 pounds.
