About the Role

The Regional Facilities Manager oversees the execution of capital repair and replacement budgets for assigned communities, ensuring safety, quality, and performance of property operations. The role collaborates closely with site teams, Regional Managers, and corporate leadership to plan and manage capital projects, respond to emergencies, and maintain operational standards. It also safeguards employees, residents, and vendors by addressing life‑safety issues and managing crisis responses until repairs are completed. Key responsibilities include outlining, developing, and managing capital projects, establishing timelines with site teams, and leading project meetings to secure approvals. The manager identifies unsafe conditions, partners with site personnel to maintain compliant operations, and escalates issues when necessary. They act as the primary responder to property emergencies—such as fires, floods, and utility outages—communicating details to senior leadership and overseeing structural repairs. Additionally, they train and delegate tasks to project managers and perform other duties to support regional success. • Outline, develop, and manage capital projects as directed by senior facilities leadership. • Collaborate with site teams, Regional Managers, and AVPs to set project timelines and expectations. • Conduct project meetings with community teams and corporate leadership to review scope and obtain approvals. • Identify unsafe conditions or potential life‑safety/security issues during site visits and ensure corrective action. • Partner with site personnel to maintain safe, compliant, and efficient operations; escalate unresolved issues. • Support maintenance of operational standards across designated communities. • Serve as immediate responder to property emergencies such as fires, floods, building damage, utility outages, or weather incidents. • Communicate emergency details to senior leadership while assessing and managing the situation. • Maintain responsibility for the physical structure until emergency‑related repairs are completed. • Train project managers to support capital and emergency projects. • Delegate assignments to project managers or team members for capital or emergency initiatives. • Regularly stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift items up to 100 pounds; maintain clear vision for inspections.

What You Bring

Candidates should preferably hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least five years of experience in facilities, property management, or maintenance operations. Demonstrated leadership, strong communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills are required, along with the ability to read technical documents and produce clear reports. A valid driver’s license is mandatory, and industry certifications (e.g., HVAC, EPA) are a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is expected. The position involves regular standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 100 pounds, as well as clear close‑ and distance‑vision for inspections. Work is primarily office‑based but includes indoor and outdoor activities and exposure to varying weather conditions.
