About the Role
The Field Chemist supports the Lab Pack Program, Household Hazardous Waste (HHW), and other field activities by delivering on‑site services that include waste characterization, packaging, handling, and transport. The role requires strict adherence to safety, meticulous attention to detail, and a focus on profitability and efficiency. Key duties involve providing lab‑packing services at customer sites while maintaining regulatory compliance and company procedures, sampling and characterizing hazardous and non‑hazardous waste, generating waste profiles for end‑user facilities, and preparing price quotes. The chemist also inventories on‑site waste, transports it to transfer or end‑user facilities, completes necessary paperwork for invoicing, assists with off‑loading, de‑packs and consolidates waste, and offers technical support as needed.

What You Bring
Preferred qualifications include a solid understanding of chemistry principles, waste processing protocols, and the ability to perform accurate analyses, present concise findings, and resolve challenging situations constructively. Candidates should be proficient with computer‑based communication, data gathering, and reporting, and possess strong negotiation, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills. A CDL with a Hazmat endorsement is advantageous. Minimum requirements are a valid Class B commercial driver’s license and the ability to complete a 40‑hour HAZWOPER training program upon hire.
