About the Role
Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors; operating light and heavy floor buffers and shampoo machines; vacuuming rugs; spot‑cleaning and shampooing carpets as directed; dusting furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces; cleaning interior glass, windowsills, and exterior entrance glass; and maintaining bathrooms, including restocking supplies and cleaning fixtures. Additional responsibilities involve monitoring and reporting defects such as clogged urinals or lighting issues, collecting and disposing of building trash, replacing liners, and performing periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood polishing, and wall washing. Snow removal from steps and walkways is performed as needed. • Operate commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines with attachments • Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas • Dust and clean furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, and light fixtures • Wash interior glass, windowsills, and entrance doors • Clean, restock, and maintain bathroom fixtures and supplies daily • Monitor and report facility defects such as clogged urinals or non‑functional lights • Collect building trash, replace liners, and place waste in approved containers • Perform snow removal from steps and walkways as needed • Conduct periodic high dusting, leather and wood polishing, and wall washing
