About the Role

The Assembler role involves diversified sub‑assembly and medium‑ to heavy‑duty final assembly of overhead switchgear, performing complex sub‑assembly and final assembly tasks with many parts, fitting and aligning components according to standard procedures on a repetitive basis. Key processes include medium and heavy‑duty final assembly and hi‑pot and functional testing. The position requires following established procedures, setting up workstations, operating independently or in a team, completing paperwork, entering labor, confirming production, moving products to the outgoing materials zone, screening defective parts, reporting concerns, interacting with other departments, assisting QA/Engineering, and performing other duties as assigned. • Follow established working procedures. • Set up workstation to facilitate easier assembly and operate independently or in a group. • Complete paperwork, enter labor, confirm production, and move products to the outgoing materials zone. • Screen defective parts or make adjustments as necessary and report concerns to the Team Leader or Supervisor. • Interact with other departments as needed for advice and decisions. • Assist QA/Engineering with problem solving for new product development as necessary.

What You Bring

Basic qualifications are a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of manufacturing, military, or related experience, residency within 50 miles (except active‑duty military), and no sponsorship for immigration or relocation. Preferred qualifications include one year of manufacturing experience and trades training in soldering, brazing, electronic terminology, and electrical circuits. Required skills include flexibility, the ability to read blueprints and drawings, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP, the ability to stand or walk for an 8‑hour shift, and the capacity to lift or push/pull 48 lb with or without reasonable accommodation.
