About the Role
In this role you will drive aftermarket sales growth for upgrades, retrofits, rebuilds, kits and components across the Surface Boom Drills and Rotary Drills product lines. You will serve as the key link between regional sales teams and global category teams, ensuring pricing compliance, budgeting, forecasting, training and delivery of value‑added solutions that enhance the customer experience. Key responsibilities include leading initiatives to grow aftermarket sales, mapping market share and performing opportunity analysis, and acting as the primary contact for commercial offerings and new product introductions. You will collaborate with Sales Managers on pricing and budgets, conduct gap analysis on existing fleet, support PSSR and Account Managers with tools and reports, monitor fleet data to identify high‑potential targets, provide training, and partner with local teams to implement solutions that simplify processes and improve customer experience.

What You Bring
Sandvik Mining is looking for a Category Specialist – Surface and Rotary to work remotely from Canada. The company emphasizes a global network, diverse businesses and opportunities for personal growth and performance recognition. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of experience in mining, heavy equipment or related fields, with sales, business development or customer service experience considered an asset. You must be able to travel up to 30% of the time and hold a college, trade school diploma or university degree. Technical knowledge of underground mining methods, mechanical aptitude and strong analytical skills with SAP, Power BI and Excel are required, along with strong communication, decision‑making, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities. • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of underground mining methods and Load and Haul applications. • Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of mechanical systems and familiarity with mining machinery operation and maintenance. • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, Power BI and Excel. • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with key stakeholders. • Decision‑Making Ability: Ability to work well under pressure and a problem‑solving mindset. • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team and coordinate with various stakeholders. • Root Cause Resolution: Ability to identify, lead, and resolve root cause issues. • Attention to Detail: Strong focus, stress management and ability to work independently with general supervision. • Interpersonal Skills: Sound communication and interpersonal abilities.
