About the Role
The QTL ensures unit standards for quality and productivity by checking proper assembly, installation, and charging of components such as EVAP coils, compressors, and control boards. Responsibilities include training crew members, maintaining up‑to‑date schedules and work orders, confirming part availability, approving sub‑assembly paperwork, and enforcing safety and housekeeping standards. The role also involves inspecting blueprints, communicating with management, performing minor repairs, and providing production backup support. Additional duties involve completing AAON’s Quality Team Leader program, demonstrating leadership and motivational skills, and offering problem‑solving assistance to production staff. The QTL builds cooperative relationships, maintains satisfactory attendance, works a variable schedule with potential overtime, and adheres to all company policies and procedures. • Ensure unit quality and productivity standards are met. • Verify correct assembly, installation, and charging of HVAC components. • Train and mentor crew members on sub‑assembly procedures. • Maintain up‑to‑date schedules, work orders, and part availability. • Approve paperwork and sign‑offs for end‑of‑line inspections. • Enforce warehouse safety and housekeeping practices. • Perform minor repairs and adjustments as needed. • Provide production backup support across teams. • Lead and motivate team members as a Quality Team Leader. • Solve production problems and foster cooperative relationships. • Meet attendance expectations and flexible work schedules, including overtime. • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

The work environment features humidity, loud noises, dust, and extreme temperatures, with exposure to sheet metal, mechanical parts, and forklift traffic.
