About the Role

The Technical Project Manager will oversee the consortium development at Comeytrowe, Taunton, acting for both Taylor Wimpey and Vistry. The role is responsible for the joint infrastructure, coordinating external design and CDM consultants, and reporting directly to the Consortium Directors and Cost Managers. Key duties include planning and detailed design of the consortium’s infrastructure and Taylor Wimpey parcels, handling technical issues throughout design, construction, and after‑care phases, and working closely with the Consortium Site Manager to control the operational programme and liaise with utilities, regulators and the NHBC. Internal applicants should inform their line manager before applying for the role. • Prepare and maintain progress programmes and reports for the BU Technical Director and Consortium Directors. • Manage the technical design process to keep issues within programme timelines and budget. • Coordinate pre‑tender health and safety plans with external CDM consultants. • Organise and record project meetings, distribute minutes, and update status reports. • Liaise with statutory authorities, planning bodies, consultants and stakeholders to meet project objectives. • Prepare fee tenders, evaluate quotations and appoint consultants after approval. • Identify value‑engineering opportunities and control costs through design specifications. • Provide technical support to commercial teams during procurement and tender analysis. • Create clear briefs, scopes and fee budgets for external design consultants and monitor their delivery. • Review consultant and contractor design proposals and attend design meetings as the client lead. • Drive delivery of key milestones, maintain the programme schedule and oversee site preparation. • Lead internal project review meetings and advise on technical and operational changes.

What You Bring
