About the Role
Industrial Electrical Foreman manages a crew that installs, repairs, and maintains electrical wiring, conduit, equipment, and fixtures, including underground cable and conduit installation, terminating, and equipment installation. The foreman reports to management and leads a crew of journeymen and helpers, typically ranging from five to fifteen workers. • Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, materials, and quantities. • Identify required tools and safety risks, and implement precautions. • Lead crew in daily safe operations and manage workloads, supplies, equipment, and reporting. • Cut, bend, and run conduit per blueprints; install, modify, and fabricate cable trays. • Pull cables through specified pathways; assemble and install electrical equipment. • Terminate wires and cables to equipment such as breakers, control panels, and distribution systems. • Test electrical components for continuity and voltage; inspect equipment for hazards and operational condition. • Set up and maintain temporary power and grounding systems. • Hoist equipment and tools using bull rigging or crane. • Maintain records of time, cost codes, equipment, personnel, and operational updates. • Use specialized tools (ohm meters, multimeters, terminating devices) and perform cable‑pulling methods. • Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in plant equipment. • Identify cable types, gauges, and colors. • Follow all safety regulations and work schedules, including overtime as needed.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least four years of experience as an industrial electrician and two years in a supervisory role, possess the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, meet all physical requirements, be able to work at heights over 300 ft, and have reliable transportation. Preferred qualifications include being a current Zachry employee, holding a journeyman electrician license, possessing NCCER certification for Industrial Journeyman Electrician, and having formal technical education. • Demonstrate knowledge of high‑voltage systems and lock‑out/tag‑out procedures. • Prior experience with Zachry Industrial, Inc. • Proficient reading of blueprints and schematics. • Knowledge of basic electrical theory (e.g., Ohm’s law). • Ability to install and modify cable trays using hand and power tools. • Ability to bend and cut conduit with manual and hydraulic equipment. • Ability to terminate both high and low voltage equipment. • Mechanical and electrical knowledge of new‑construction plant components. • Reliable, accountable, and consistent in administrative processes. • Ability to work at heights, in all weather conditions, and wear required PPE.
